This wall is NOTHING TO DO WITH JOHN LENNON. Do not waste your time going. I imagine at one point it would have been a great thing but all it is now is a graffiti wall where most tourists turn up with their own spray paint and put their initials on the wall. It has no relation to anything Lennon/Beatles related and it looks like the walls of a skateboard park on a run down housing estate
Definitely not a must see of Prague unless you're a die hard Lennon fan. But it is a cool thing to walk by and only takes a few minutes to see if you're nearby. What really is cool about this is you can spray paint just about anything you want on the wall without feeling bad for vandalizing a clean building.
I liked the Lennon Wall ! It's a tall wall covered completely with graffiti- bold colourful, political, feminist, leftist, humanist, revolutionary, and energetic. It's bright and beautiful in it's own way. It's myriad voices down time ! There's a new caffe come up beyond the wall so you walk into the space beyond the wall. A pleasant stop over !
Cool place to visit when you're in town! Should you want to have the Lennon Wall for yourself without any other people I recommend a visit in the morning hours at around 6 or 7. The wall isn't that big but still an impressive piece of modern Art. Definitely worth seeing.
The John Lennon Wall is an amazing experience. A lot of wonder pieces of art up on the wall. Every piece is positive, peace and love. You can also add your own piece of art, or sign your name on the wall. While I was there they had some local kids spray painting the wall.
