Lennon Wall, Prague Reviews
One of the must see while you're in Prague, even though you probably won't be overly impressed. I recommend coming when it's less crowded if this is high on your list. Lot of people taking photos near the wall and live music happening near the wall too. This place is too crowded most of the time. Always best to go early morning if you want it to yourself. Back in the day it was used to write the quotes and messages and phrases for freedom and now its called Lennon wall. The wall is no more super connected to the man himself now. I found the small canal bridge with the grate covered in locks half a block away to be much more picturesque and cool.
Interesting. Very colorful. And very crowded, even at 9am. There is a great Cafe nearby with good coffee. And just inside the wall is a nice courtyard where someone teaches yoga. And there's a very nice store inside the courtyard with wonderful, local handmade items for the home. The entire area around the wall is worth trekking to the wall for.
The John Lennon Wall is an amazing experience. A lot of wonder pieces of art up on the wall. Every piece is positive, peace and love. You can also add your own piece of art, or sign your name on the wall. While I was there they had some local kids spray painting the wall.
We stayed directly opposite the Lennon wall in Prague and it was a good landmark to get back to the apartment. I think it's a very important piece of history to the people of Prague and there's always music. Some good songs and some not so good. But usually very crowded unless you come early in the morning or late at night. It's an experience worth a look.
On first glance, it looks impressive but then depending on when you go, the art work can seem like a bundle of spray cans gone crazy. Some areas of the wall looked amazing other parts is questionable. A nice wall to pass but nothing special in my opinion.
