The Museum of Czech Literature is also popularly known as Memorial of National Literature. It is housed in the Strahov monastery and is a part of the Prague Castle. The Memorial of National Literature has a lot of functions that they undertake such as creating, treating, publishing archival, storing library, processing, audio-visual, art and other collections which are the main source of evidence showing the development ofliterature and literary culturein the Czech Republic from the year 1775 till date. A substantial part of the collection has been moved outside the city of Prague. In the current date, the building serves as the seat of the institution, with offices, depository, exhibition hall, a study room and an auditorium for programs for adults as well as children.
