Municipal House, Prague Reviews - Write a Review
I was here for an event where we had the whole Smetana Hall to ourselves (very big conference event). I was stunned by the architecture and décoré in the building. It is absolutely beautiful. I would love to see a concert here whenever I come back to Prague.
One of the most breathtaking sites in Prague, this should be at the top of ever visitors itinerary. The building tours are essential - they are well priced, informative, and provide access to areas of the building which are not normally open to the public. Tickets can be purchased in the kiosk on the left as patrons walk through the second set of doors.
Pretty venue with decent acoustics. I went to the Best of Classics with Opera and Ballet concert here, and the musicians were good, but the soprano and Ballet dancers were more amateur (which I would give 3 stars, but the venue itself 4 stars).
A totally stunning Art Nouveau interior. I wandered around taking photos and exploring downstairs completely unchallenged. Despite looking incredibly expensive and ostentatious, coffee shop prices were pretty much the same as anywhere else around this area. Really worth a visit. 🇨🇿😀🎼
You MUST tour this. It's one of the few places in Europe that is styled in Art Nouveau! Plus Alphonse Mucha painted the mayor's hall!
