The Pissing Fountain designed by David Cerny is one of the most notable, significant and at the same time, humorous sculptures in the world. Taking a closer look, you will see the two mechanical masculine figures gyrating around the small pool in shape of the map of Czech Republic and literally urinating into the pool. The figures are 210 centimeters high and the electronic features attached to the status prompt them to move their hips, erect their penis and write letters of Czech Literary quotes on the surface with the stream of the water oozing through it. Pun intended the figures seem to piss on the Czech Republic itself. If you send a message on the number noted beside the Pissing Fountain, the figures will spell out the exact words sent by you.

  • This is such a funny sculpture in Prague especially when filmed in fast motion / time lapse. The statues are humorous. I also find it funny that it’s called ‘piss sculpture’ a must see in Prague. It can be easily missed so keep an eye out and it could be tricky to get a picture if it becomes crowded or busy.

  • It is funny and worth a look at because there are a lot of other attractions in the area so it isn’t of the road.

  • worth checking out the 'Piss' installation. there is also a restaurant where you can sit on the terrace if it's warm outside and rest a bit while enjoying a drink, something to eat and of course, the view

  • Definitely a sculpture with an impact. It makes you think. Are those two men standing on a country and pissing? What does that imply? David Cerny is awesome!

  • Nice place,french music,tasty cakes and coffee.Staff 5*.Thanks,will be back!
