Sleepy Hollow Sports Park Reviews & Ratings
DO NOT GO! We tried to contact by phone for pricing and to truly verify that they were open. Website said was open till 8:00pm. No one answered phones was told to leave message, I did and said needed response ASAP. Got no reply. We drove 3 hours to get there trusting what website stated as open. WAS TOTALLY CLOSED!! Was waste of an entire day. My grandson hadn't seen his dad for 6 months was to b our big family day, we had to head back to Pa. early next morning. A contact number and recording of dates and times should ALWAYS B AVAILABLE for any business ALWAYS. A waste of time, money, and left us with a very sad father and son.
This place was great when I was a kid. Not sure what happened. Went to go play mini golf and no one was around so we grabbed putters and finally someone came out from the shadows and said that they are only open to groups... What a water of time!
I would say five stars, except that it cost sixty-nine bucks just for me and my Daughter to get through the gate. That left me with very little cash for vendors. Neither the event nor most of the vendors take credit cards. If the park took credit cards (or charged a reasonable amount at the gate) I could have used my cash to buy souvenirs. I have several Friends who bend at Sleepy Hollow and they didn't make much (partially because of the turn-out, probably due to weather, but also because they charge exhorbitantly for vendor space, too). Otherwise, it was a five star experience. Suggestion: Let vendors vend outside of the gate in the space between the bridge and the entrance and/or in the parking lot just before the bridge, too & charge them like half the amount. That way patrons could shop on the way in and out...
Last June, I booked a birthday party for 10 kids. I arrived on the day of our birthday party, and it looked like a deserted haunted amusement park! Everything looked run down. When I finally found how to get inside the building, a man told me he had no birthday party booked and no food/cake to serve us. I had parents and kids staring at me. It was so embarrassing. About 3 months later, I left this (1 star) review on their Facebook page. That's when the owner finally called me and wanted to remedy the situation. She didn't care until her Facebook rating went down. I did not accept anything from her. I will never go there again.
Terrible service, cages were open and said they are not open to the public....what's the point....you're losing money. This place has gone way down hill over the years, don't waste your time or money.
