Built in 1872, the Wood End Lighthouse serves as a U.S. Coast Guard navigational aid and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. A walk across the breakwater from Provincetown's West End will help you reach the area. The lighthouse is not open to the public but the 39 feet structure is worth watching from outside as well.
