Sri Varadaraja Perumal Temple - Review
The VaradarajaPerumal Temple is a very important Hindu religious spot in the town of Pondicherry. Even though tou will be able to see temples around the place, none are as prestigious and as revered as this one.
The typical southern Indian Architecture is quite fascinating to see. The colorful façade and the small main entrance and the several inner rooms and sanctums make it a stunning sight to see. The sculpture work is quite spectacular and illustrative of the varied temple art in India
Moreover, it is also very popular among the devotees. The conviction with which people come to visit this place every year is quite heartening to see. Of the 32 temples in this small town, this one is perhaps the most noted and hence a must-visit. Being around 800 years old, the place is quite a historic site.

Sri Varadaraja Perumal Temple, Puducherry Reviews
This is Very famous temple in Pondicherry. You can visit this temple during your visit if you have free time. I read somewhere that this temple was built by chola rulers in 11th century.
Very nice place has air conditioners in it . The pooja timings is at 7 pm it's good to attend if passing by and on Wednesdays there's special pooja to Lord ganesh where a elephant is brought and feeded .
Really beautiful temple best enjoyed in the early morning light and cool air. Definitely a highlight from our visit to Pondy!
Traditional Hindu temple in the midst of French colony. Very close to beach and other shopping areas. Felt a sense of fresh air going into the temple and the main deity is very beautifully decorated
Nice perumal temple that opened at 8:00 am every morning
