Visiting the marvellous natural formation- Cuexcomate is a golden opportunity to witness a unique geyser. This inactive geyser has a sinter cone that has accumulated around its vent. On the inside, the crater goes well beyond 17 meters below the ground level. Although it is a popular belief that Cuexcomate is the world’s smallest volcano, it is in fact a geyser, not a volcano. A metallic spiral staircase has been fixed in the crater for visitors to go inside and observe the structure. It will be a truly marvellous spectacle- one that you don’t get to witness normally.
