Zicatela, Puerto Escondido Reviews
Very nice beach but unfortunately too dangerous to swim and very little shade. There are a number of restaurants that offer a shady patios for a small cost of a beverage or meal.
Beautiful Mexican beach. Reasonably quiet while I was here, some families out for the day kids, and all the surfers arrived to surf the break up near the point from 4pm onwards. Not much natural shade, but you can get a sunbed under an umbrella if you invest in a drink or snack from a few local beach restaurants.
A wide, uncrowded beach with big waves and hippie-ish vibe. Great for surfers and folks who don't need much for comfort, probably not great for anybody else. Dogs are a huge problem at night, and roosters add to the noise, so better have earplugs handy if you like to get good sleep. Check out nearby Laguna Manialtepec for amazing natural experience and Playa Bacocho for baby turtle release.
Nice, long beach with many different restaurants and beach clubs. The sea can get quite rough and dangerous for swimming but great for surfing.
