The best times to visit are between April and June, when it's drier, and the peak tourist season has passed, meaning hotel are cheaper. Fewer people visit this time because tourists usually come down here in droves to get away from winter. The temperatures for the various seasons are as follows:
Spring (April - June): Hot days and cool nights are standard. Daytime highs rise by about 2 every month, from 29 degrees Celsius in April to 32 degrees Celsius in June. Night temperatures rise from 17 degrees Celsius to 22 degrees Celsius.Families would be well served thanks to cheaper accommodation.
Summer (July - September): At daytime temperatures of 33.5 degrees Celsius August and September are the hottest months; the latter is also the wettest. It rains heavily throughout this period, making it muggy.
Autumn (October - December): Temperatures fall back to spring levels, and it becomes a lot less rainy quite abruptly in October.
Winter (January - March): This is peak season, with little rain, clear skies and almost chilly evenings (16 degrees Celsius). It's tough to call it 'winter' though, when day temperature is between 28-29 degrees Celsius.
