The Apulian city of Bari houses the beautiful castle, Castello Normanno-Svevo. Currently popular for hosting exhibitions, the castle was built by the Norman conquerors of Bari around 1132. The castle acts as a museum of sculptural remnants and houses the Plaster Cast Gallery. The plaster casts sculptural ornaments featured in the gallery have been collected from some of the significant 11th to 17th-century religious buildings making the visit to the castle a fascinating one.
