Caminito Del Rey, popularly known as The King's Little Pathway, is arguably the most dangerous hiking path in Spain. It stretches along the steep walls of a very narrow valley, and only the most experienced ones can undertake this trek. It is in an extreme state of disrepair, and in many places the path has collapsed and only steel beams remain. The gushing river flowing almost 350 feet below you looks intimidating. If you’re scared of heights you must give this place a skip. This pathway is only for the most extreme adventure junkies. Visit this place at your own risk, as you never know when the concrete will crumble.

Caminito Del Rey Reviews & Ratings

  • Very beautiful hike to take the family. Safe, family friendly, spectacular views. Very impressive. Tickets sold online are usually sold out so it requires arriving early for the daily tickets. But definitely well worth it. Worth staying in the area as well since it's so picturesque

  • Amazing experience and worth the walk in the scorching sun. Breath taking views. Winter months are ideal. Carry plenty of water and good walking shoes. Parking was limited but we were lucky to get one, 1km away. Book tickets in advance.

  • What a beautiful place! Wooden path on the outside of the mountains! Scary but very safe. Beautiful nature at the same time as it is a great adventure! A must to do! Bring lots of water to drink and enjoy! Safety staff and cameras patrols the pathes.

  • Good way to treat the irrational fear of heights, with... heights! Very secured path, you actually feel safe during the whole walk. Stunning views and nice story behind Caminito del Rey, that you can find out by reading the notes along the path. A must do in the region. Preview to buy tickets WELL in advance however.

  • A fantastic trekking route. 5 km on the wooden walkways at 100 m high crossing a gorge in which a hydroelectric power station is built. If you suffer from vertigo it's not for you. Otherwise it's an experience to do absolutely!
