Bhuleshwar Temple - Review

Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Bhuleshwar is an ancient Hindu temple located around 50 kilometres from Pune. This 13th Century temple boasts of a beautiful architecture along with intriguing and interesting carvings. Declared a protected monument, there is a quirky fact about the temple- if you offer a box of sweets to the Shiv Ling, sometimes; one or more of the sweets disappear, as if the lord has accepted your offerings!

  • Awesome temple! Placed at hill top with sharp slopes. Connecting roads are good but narrow at some places... Not targeted by commercial people... So you'll fine not more than 20-30count visiting at weekends. Vally for many birds . Must visit place.

  • Lovely ancient temple on hill top still untouched as number of visitors are limited. The temple is almost 1000 years old. The history of its consortia not very clear. Probably this is the reason that there is no board or write up in the vicinity regarding this. Spend some time there as the scenery aof the valley below from hilltop is nice. As there is no arrangements of eateries Pls take some food and water. Approach road to the temple is narrow but it's good and two and four wheelers can go till the top.

  • A great place to give a visit and also quite beautiful. The art and carving done of the walls of temple of great lord SHIVA are amazing. If you are looking for half or a day picnic then this place is great option. Again it depends on what kind of tourist you are and places you like.

  • Historical place to visit near pune. Very old temple of Lord Shankar having beautiful architecture and carving work on rock inside and outside temple wall. Place is far away from city and very quiet and calm for meditation. Must visit place.

  • Beautiful place, around 40-45 kms from Hadapsar. It is an old temple situated on the top of a hill, the drive to temple itself is mesmerizing if you go in the evening. The temple is well maintained, and the old architecture, stone carvings are really treat to the eyes (if you are history lover). It is a marked heritage site. The view from the top of the hill is good. There are many spots on the way to the temple where you can stop and spend the complete day or 4-5 hours easily with family or gang. Must visit. A very old temple with lot of carvings inside the walls of the temple. You get a very good feeling inside the temple because of the calmness. The view from above is beautiful . The temple has very unique architecture. Loved the place.
