A relatively unknown tourist attraction in Pune, Neelkantheswar is nonetheless a very fascinating one. Set amidst the lush area of Panshet and Khadakwasla dams, Neelkantheswar is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. However, what is more fascinating about the area is not the temple but the hundreds of statues and idols of gods and goddesses enacting various mythological events from Hindu religion. This place is a must visit for people in search of something off the beaten path.

Neelkantheshwar Temple Reviews & Ratings
Beautiful place on an off beat track. Calm and serene. Great for kids too. Heavenly in the monsoon. Beautiful sunset view over Panshet dam in the other seasons.
Good place to visit during monsoon. A light trekking. Premises neatly maintain. Limited options available in canteen on the hill.
Nice place in rainy season.. but hard to reach for kids n elder peoples.. all historical statues with history r great
Beautiful temple. Climb is steep so be prepared to get tired. Carry lots of water. Idols in the temple premises are beautiful and well maintained.
Amazing and must visit place. Best season is to visit in july to dec. Be prepared for good hike. Highly elevated without any proper steps and supports. Your foot wares must be firm and comfortable. Water and breakfast available on top but moderate quality. Not much lighting in night. Be careful and leave this place early if you fear darkness. Jungle all around drive 2 wheeler safely.
