This hotel is way over priced for what it is. I have been to cheaper and better in the DR. I was blinded by the name. Check in was a nightmare, hotel was overbooked, staff was not prepared to handle the big volume of guest. Rooms are not that great, they look a lot better in pictures and the difference between the cheaper one and the next one up is a bigger balcony... Check out was ok. The staff is amazing, the butlers, the bartenders, the concierge, they are great! But the higher the position the more arrogant they get. They treat you like they are doing you a favor, like you are not paying any money. I have a very bad experience, I had requested a honeymoon package from the beginning, Emailing them for months regarding the honey moon package and an upgrade to royalty. They never got back to me. When I got there My room wasn't ready. No honeymoon anything, no able to upgrade due to overbooking. I had to spend 2 days that I wasted completely of my vacation, sitting around, complaining to everybody. Finally got an upgrade on my second day and change of room as a "courtesy" we were promised that the honey moon stuff would be setup in there. We got there, no champagne, no cake, nothing... Just a room, same thing but bigger... Got the champagne 5 days later and the cake the day before leaving. And the room setup with petals etc 5 days later because my husband went to talk to someone and tipped someone... The spa was nice and was complimentary with the royalty package, 25 min massage, but at some point one of my butlers was told that they gave us the upgrade as a courtesy, the butlers didn't know that we went through hell during the 2 first day of stay and here there was some management telling them that? not sure if they did not wanted to give us the complete service or what. The butler managed to schedule the massages and I did not say anything because I did not want to get him in trouble, I explained the situation to him and he was great to us. Honeymoon ruined...
This was a GORGEOUS resort. It was my first time to DR and my first time at an all inclusive resort. They have great deals where the longer you stay, the more resort credits you can earn. We used ours at the spa and it was BEYOND worth it. It was the best spa experience I've ever had. I felt like I was a pampered movie star. The resort was HUGE!! You need to take the shuttle to get around sometimes but they have a jogging track if you'd like. The room and the resort had music lyrics throughout and it was a memorable touch. Can I just finish by saying how FRIENDLY the staff was. Always greeting you with a smile, always very helpful with answering questions, and you get the feeling that they really just want you to have fun and enjoy yourself. It worked!
Upon arrival my sister and I were greeted by a couple of employees that took great care of us throughout our entire week long trip. Every time we saw them they had smiles on their faces. During our trip a couple of our friends had some problems that needed resolving. We immediately got them in touch with Henry & Alfredo. Henry & Alredo, thank you for being so awesome! Thank you for taking care of us and our friends. You both made our experience at the hard rock wonderful. You were professional, courteous and an absolute joy.
The staff are so attentive and friendly. This resort truly spoils you. The best place in Punta Cana to stay. The restaurants are top notch. The room service is A+ This resort truly knows what excellent customer service means and how to provide it. The rooms are so clean and the food is delicious. Can't wait to return!!
So, there are a few people at this resort who made the experience just fantastico. Let's first start with Chiara, she is one of the trainers at the resort, her classes were phenomenal and her body is so fit so of course I tried to follow her directions to a. The folks who played baseball on the beach and taught dancing by the pool were so much fun and just all and all very pleasant people. Tracy Straight is was hosting a karaoke night in the Sun Bar and did a great job with the crowed, making it fund and making sure to get as many folks singing as possible. The hydrotherapy at the spa and couples massages were also one of the major highlights of the trip. Thanks for helping to make our first major trip as a couple unforgettable.
