How to Reach Punta Cana

GET IN

  • By Air: A number of American airlines have scheduled flights to Punta Cana airport because of its popularity with US travelers. There are charter flights available from the big cities in Canada. If you don’t already have your hotel picking you up at the airport, you can hire a cab from the airport to drop you to your resort. Do remember that if you’re not a Dominican citizen, you will have to buy a 10$ ticket upon arrival at the airport.
  • By Car: If you’re already in the country, you can drive down from the recently constructed highway that starts from La Romana and goes up to Punta Cana.

GET AROUND

  • By Rent-a-car: For those of you who want it their way, this is a great mode of transportation. There are a number of car rental agencies that you could access from your hotel. Do remember though, the driving laws and habits are different in this country.
