Isla Saona - Review

The Caribbean’s best kept secret, Isla Saona is a beautiful albeit tiny little island that lies at the south east tip of Dominican Republic.  It is a government protected natural reserve that boasts of unparalleled beauty and soft white sands that overlook turquoise blue waters. This island has caught the fancy of many film makers over the years. It is possible to spot a number of wild and exotic species of birds and animals here as this place is rich in wildlife.

The Island got its current name because of Christopher Columbus who chanced upon this beauty and named it after his friend. Explore this natural paradise and spend hours at this island discovering nature’s bounty in the form of rare fishes and incredible flora.  You can choose to have a drink at the open bar, dip your feet in the clear blue waters or just lie on the shady hammocks admiring the views. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Punta Cana Itinerary 7 Days.

Isla Saona, Punta Cana Reviews

  • Beautiful Gorgeous Awesome. But just like the rest of my experience in DR. Food was over rated (by a ton) and if you look one inch from the resort..... Rules would go a long way too. There were topless fatties, not so fatties and kids. To see a woman topless in another country is one thing but not kids. Vendors are annoying and sell garbage. What a shame. It is so beautiful.

  • Ots a very beautifully island with white sand beaches located in the east coast of the Dominican Republic its a part of the National Park, its a very busy island a lot of tourist from all over the world go to discover that island, its very important place for tourists attractions, if you come for holiday in the Dominican Republic don't forget to check it out.

  • This island is definitely a paradise on the earth ! Crystal clear water and long white sandy beach. We had amazing time. BBQ on the beach was delicious. Really recommend trip to Isla Saona. One day we will come back. 5*

  • Absolutely stunning paradise. It’s hard to describe. Crystal clear water, soothing ocean breeze. Tropical nature at its finest. Listen and you’ll hear the crows speaking to each other, it’s truly fascinating. You can no longer handle the starfish in the ocean as the Dominican government has prohibited it.

  • Heaven on earth. A ‘must do’ when you’re on holiday in the Dominican República. Touristic but nice to visit. Possible to get a massage on the beach. Local women come over to tourists give you a totalbody massage. Be clear of you don’t want them to give you one.
