As a result, water started entering into the city. Seeing such disastrous consequence, Lord Jaganntha questioned Lord Hanuman about his absence and his disloyalty towards his duty. And to punish him, Lord Jagannath chained him for which the deity of the temple is known as Bedi Hanuman.
