Chilika Lake - Review
The attraction is a brackish water lagoon and is the largest water lagoon in India, and the second largest in the world. The lake is home to a large number of plant and animal species, and the largest wintering floor to migratory birds. Nalban Island, within the water lagoon is the main area of the Ramsar designated wetlands. Other smaller islands like Honeymoon Island, Beacon Island and Breakfast Island are also there for visit. The open air, and picturesque flora and fauna of the lake are allure for eco-tourism.
Another popular activity for which tourists come here for a visit is for watching dolphin. And believe it! It is an enchanting site to watch out for. As your boat cut across the water of the lake, you will see dolphins diving through the water guiding you to the right path. However, dolphins can be best watch if you come between November and February.
Hence, plan your trip accordingly so that you don’t miss out these mesmerising sites of the lake.

Chilika Lake, Puri Reviews
You need to travel via a steamer boat or ferry through the lake... Go through the different islands here.... Don't prefer a wooden country side boat...
It's is a very beautiful lake with breathtaking view and clear waters.you get to see few migratory birds and also dolphins.however dolphins are a rare scene you don't get a view all round the year.I went around October and just got a glimpse of them. Also the island which promises a view of red crabs is also not available at that time and they just show it to you in a basket.and they try to sell pearls and other stones I don't know if you really should fall for them,I did ;).
The Place is so Lovely and Beautiful here you can see Dolphin and the merging of 3 Rivers If you are lucky then you may be able to see them very near to your Boat and after that if you are a Non-Vegitarian then you can have your Lunch on an Island where the fishes will be fresh, just taken out from the water and then you cam choose which one do you want then they will COOK it and serve you.
It is really a awesome place to visit. It has a breathtaking beautiful view and oh you get to see the dolphins. You can also go to the small islands in the lake and there ocean has really a totally different view that you get to see in beaches.
Good to enjoy with friends. Charges are a bit high for a boat and also you will have to ask for life jackets on extra cost. Safety is a big concern
