Pushkar Lake - Review
Anybody residing in India would be well aware of Pushkar Lake. It is considered to be a holy lake that attracts a lot of pilgrims who come here to carry out their religious rites. The lake is close to the famous temple of Sri Brahma, one of the very few in India. This was a place where Lord Brahma (the creator of this world) prayed with Mata Savitri. What makes this lake conspicuous that it is surrounded by 52 bathing Ghats and more than 500 Hindu temples are situated around its borders. Pilgrims throng in large numbers to take a sacred bath here, especially around Kartik Poornima (October–November) when the Pushkar Fair is held. A dip in the sacred lake is believed to cleanse sins and cure skin diseases. Apart from its religious significance, this lake also adds beauty to the city of Pushkar in Ajmer.

This place is considered sacred one by Hindus and all the town activities are surrounded this lake. During sunrise you can spot locals bathing and praying and sunset you will see tourist on the left side of the lake playing and enjoying it. Just double precaution for the guys or ladies giving you flowers to bless the lake. They will charge you for this! Plus until 30 feet from the lake you should walk barefoot.
Place of peace. You will find some soul rest here. Variety of helping peoples
Best place to be in for a small weekend getaway, very cheap, calm and fuzz free for most part of the year.Hotels are nice and cost about 2-3k per night ,very less food options so Choose a nice hotel .Ajmer is very near by and you can visit that in about 30min time.Loved the whole city very small and very calm.
Nice place to spend weekend. Sunset and sunrise is not to be missed. As the sunsets the lights start to reflect in the lake. Sunset is the best here.
Serenity calling! One can just sit there and forget all the worries. the place looks divine at night and the cool breeze adds to the experience.
