Manastirea Putna, popularly known as the Putna Monastery, is a site of great historical significance located in Putna. It is basically a Romanian Orthodox monastery, established by Prince Stephen the Third, fondly referred to as Prince Stephen the Great. He had the habit of creating a religious building after each victory, and started building this one after he won the battle in 1466. This monastery is his final resting place, alongside his family members. It has architectural aspects from the 15th, 16th and 17th century as it was extensively modified during this period. It has a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, perfect for meditation and contemplation. Visit this monastery for a historically enriching experience.

Always fantastic to visit a touristic place at the end of a day. Funny monks too. And really nice, cold, fresh fountain water.
Wonderful Monastery, well preserved. They have a museum. They even have children's books. Feel free to take also the camera with you.
