Known as Tasik Putrajaya in the local language, the Putrajaya Lake flows across the center of the city of Putrajaya. It is an artificial lake created for recreational activities by people and tourists, but the main aim was to build it as a cooling system of the city. It is used for water transport, water sports and fun activities like fishing too. It has successfully hosted a number of events including SEA Games -29, F1 Powerboat Championship, Asian Canoeing Championships and the Red Bull Air Race World Championship.
