This beach with golden sands is situated on the south east of Phoenix Island and is very close to the Bohai Sea. It is a crescent shaped beach and is rated as the No. 1 beach of Asia. This beach is full of engrossing sceneries and plenty of colourful reefs and coral species. One of the most popular reef is shaped like a frog which appears and disappears according to tidal waves and thus known as the “Indistinct Frog”. The three treasures of this beach are the sea cucumbers, crabs and abalones that are highly consumed in this region.

The beach can be broadly divided into 7 different areas- the exhibition area, sports area, children’s land, seashore entertainment area, bathing area, leisure land and shopping area. The main activities you can enjoy here are yachting, speed boating, surfing, football, volleyball, musical performances and evening parties.

There is an annual festival known as the “Cultural and Tourism Festival” that is being hosted here since 1998. At this time many famous artists and singers perform here and many games and events are organized. Tourists and locals come here in flocks and have a gala time.

• Ferry from Qingdao Ferry Terminal to Phoenix Island (Xuejia Dao), and then take the No. 4 city bus.
• Ferry from Qingdao Ferry Terminal to Huangdao Ferry Terminal, and then take the No.1 or No. 18.
