Looking over the St. Lawrence River, just above Cap Diamant, the Upper Town (Haute-Ville) of Quebec City is part of the Vieux Quebec UNESCO World Heritage site. Housing some of the beautiful French and British fortifications and 19th century old buildings, the Town has turned into a historical site worth a visit. The jewel of the Town is the famous Chateau Frontenac hotel, the most photographed hotel around the world. Enjoy at least a drink at any one of the bars of this iconic hotel that gives a perfect view of the Laurentian Mountain.
The narrow cobbled streets of the town will lead you to some boutiques, hotels and restaurants located over here.
It’s best to explore the town on foot!
