Dubbed as Canada’s oldest museum, the Museum of French America highlights the evolution of the French culture in Canada and the United States. The exhibits revolve around the artifacts of the colonial era including religious artifacts. The reason for the wide variety of displays you see here is because of the extensive travel the priests of the Quebec Seminary did and collected memorabilia whilst on their journey.

Very informative, great find in the heart of Old Quebec. Definitely worth the visit. Make sure you have lots of time as some of the exhibits have videos to watch etc.
Great museum and exhibits exploring an interesting topic not seen in many other places in such detail. Staff were polite and helpful. The space is great and well set up. Entry fee was reasonable and enjoyed free coat check as we went in winter. Hidden gem!
Situated in the haute ville in front of Hôtel de ville, this museum is related to Musée de la civilisation and it develops some expositions related to French culture in North America. It is recommended to start on the upper floor and then go down to lower floors. I have done just the upper floor in an hour, but I took my time to see and listen to many video and audio materials that document and illustrate the expositions. Good to see clearly that French native speakers in Canada are not only Quebecois, but they are to find in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Manitoba, Ontario... In summary, nice museum, interesting expositions and every 1st Sunday of month free entrance for residents (temporal, permanent, citizens) of Canada.
Probably wouldn’t worth it for a short visitor. I would recommend to visit museum of civilization.
I was here for a piano performance and it was incredible. The design of the cathedral, the ambiance, the acoustic. Just overall awesome.
