For those of you who don’t have any tolerance to the cold, summer is the perfect time to come to Queenstown. However, plan and book in advance to avoid exorbitant last minute charges.
Winter (June-August): Temperatures in the winter oscillate between 0-5 degrees Celsius and is considered by many to be the perfect weather for skiing, snowboarding and every snow related sport. The slopes of Queenstown see not only newbie snow enthusiasts, but also the pros that compete on an international level. With different terrains varying according to expertise, Queenstown is easily one of the choices for a winter holiday.
Spring & Autumn: Queenstown sees its most unpredictable weather during the spring and autumn. This does not deter the determined tourist though. Most of the activities will continue to be open to public, but there may be instances when the city is either preparing or closing up a beloved tourist activity. Either way, pack for both warm sunshine and the dreary drop in the temperature.
