Chellah, Rabat Reviews
It’s a beautiful way to spend and afternoon. The grounds are well maintained, there is plenty of signage and spots to take a break if you need to rest.
A nice and quiet place to visit. I think it is worth the 10 dirham fee and the time. A ruin site standing for 8 centuries brings you back to the Roman time. Only Arabic and French introductions are available. There was a guy dancing at the entrance. Don't take photos if you don't want to pay.
Historically pretty wonderful. Information is only in Arabic and French. Entry 10 Dirham. Someone should create a pamphlet with the information in English and sell it for another buck, would easily have bought it.
A true piece of Moroccon history dating back 800+ yrs. The ruins seems to be well maintained and the cost to enter was $10/Mad PP. Walk at your own pace, no guide required. Watch out for the countless cats roaming around and don't feed them or they won't leave you alone. A good piece of history to spend a few hours roaming around.
This is basically a walled in park with some interesting ruins, nothing too spectacular, but it’s a nice way to spend an hour or two. Entry is 10 MAD. It’s a little out of the way and there is nothing around it (no stores or vendors of any kind, you may want to bring a bottle of water) so you’ll have to take a taxi there and back unless you like really long walks. If you have already seen the Kasbah, the riverside promenade, the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum, this is probably the best attraction left in Rabat.
