Known for being the residential complex of the king of Morocco, the Dar al-Makhzen is often flooded by tourists. Especially during the peak season, people come here not only to appreciate the architecture and design of the palace, but the story and legends that surround it. While the date of establishment of the original palace is not exactly known, the structure that we see today is from the year 1864. Apart from accommodation for the royal family, accommodation facilities for the royal guard, several schools and classes for the royal members, a large ground for public meetings and a small mosque are all part of this prestigious complex.
