Ngarunui Beach - Review
With a lovely shore line, gorgeous views of the open ocean and a carpet of stark black sand contrasting the clear blue water, this beach is the favorite hang out place of locals as well as visitors. Visitors can watch as surfers play with the waves or kitesurfers whizz around while lazing on the clean beach. The place is also a popular swimming spot and a good place to try some body boarding or surfing.

Ngarunui Beach, Raglan Reviews
A nice black sand beach! We were there from sunset till dark. I totally recommend being there at dark because I have NEVER ever seen the stars so brightly there. There is no light pollution so the sky just illuminates so brilliantly. It leaves you speechless. It's something you have got to experience!
Great beach for surfing! Can accomodate beginners and experienced surfers alike. Or if you're keen for a tan or family outings, this is a great place to be in Summer time!
Great local beach! This beach is just a short drive (50 min) from Hamilton so i visit frequently. The lifeguards do a great job as the beach can have strong swell and currents. Changing rooms and toilets are provided. Parking can be busy but they do have overflow parking at the top. Beach access is steep via stairs (depending on where you parked) and a paved ramp but is manageable for all fitness levels. I have seen people take carts on wheels so i assume a wheelchair or pram would be doable.
Huge expansive beach, very clean. Patrolled. Great waves. Long drops, showers and running water. Surf boards and wetsuits for hire. Beautiful views every angle. Everything you want/need. Be aware there is a bit of a walk from the overflow car parks when busy.
Such a beautiful beach. Long wide and flat. Waters are absolutely beautiful here as well. It is a bit out of the way from Auckland, it's better to go to Raglan for a few days and visit here. Very popular with body boards.
