If you are a history buff, then you must head towards the Mahant Ghasidas Smarak Sangrahalay when in Raipur. It is located quite close to the Mahakoshal Art Gallery which is another tourist attraction in Raipur. The museum has an extensive collection of artifacts that date from the 2nd to the 10th century. Many of these artifacts have been found from the excavations in the surrounding areas of Chhattisgarh. A tour of the museum will give you an insight into the prehistoric era along with a glimpse of the local tribal culture.
