The Lake Lynn is an artificial man- made lake that was created with the purpose of flood control in 1976 by damming a tributary of the Crabtree Creek. The lake is spread over an area of 55 acres and has a wonderful 3 mile paved trail around it, which provides a splendid view of the Lake and its wildlife. Nearby the Lake Lynn Park is present which has a community centre, a playground and tennis courts. The lake never ceases to provide a space for an enjoyable and relaxing walk.

Lake Lynn Reviews & Ratings
I love this place it’s a nice place to walk around and relax. There’re very nice broad walk and a lot of people take the dogs for a walk and exercise. It’s a good place for family to spend time together too.
This is a perfect lake trail to take on a crisp breezy morning. It is shaded for majority of the trail but there are certain spots that are quite hot when the sun is present. I highly recommend this trail for families.
Breath taking view.. great place for an evening stroll or recreational fishing.. wonderful place for turtle lovers. Turtles are of all sizes..
speaking on behalf of my dog and i, this is our favorite park in raleigh. we love the views, the loop with a very doable distance for good exercise, the resident turtles everywhere, the 2 great blue herons who hang out there, the egrets that boop about, the shady trail that makes summer strolls tolerable. my only sadness is that when water gets low, we can see trash and would love there to be efforts of a community clean up. also, the lake can quickly turn into the bog of eternal stench during dry spells or if some animal dies and is left to rot on the shores. but overall, it is an amazing piece of nature that is uplifting to enjoy!
Wonderful place to go for a walk! I love to see the turtles.
