Enjoyable trip, the guides there does their job, but their English is limited. You get to ride an elephant for about 2min, it's a good hands on experience. The keepers will bear "spears" of sorts. This is not for stabbing the elephants, its to touch then on points for "manual" command if voice command fails. They do not harm these animals! Listen to the guides and read the signs. Everything will be explained. (NB: the guides and people will all ask for tips, keep it in mind)
Good for kids , and we get to have a 2min ride on the elephant and bathe him. Other than that it's a total rip off. But yes, if you visit Kandy for the first time you needed to have this on your to do list.
You need to be here with your kids. They will be very happy to have a ride with elephants.
