Agnitheertham - Review
This is a holy spot where believers take a dip before visiting the temple of lord Rameswar. Agnitheertham is of great religious significance to the Hindus especially as they believe that after killing Ravana, Lord Rama offered his prayers to Lord Shiva, at this very place. Most people pay visit to the Ramanathaswamy temple after a visit to Agnitheertham. A dip in the water of Agnitheertham is considered as a way of washing away your sins. The water is said to be so holy that immersing your body in this water grants you forgiveness for all of your ill doing. The place on the whole is very peaceful and a great option to spend some time by yourself or with family and friends.

Agnitheertham, Rameshwaram Reviews
Place is nice. You have to take bath here then you should go to the temple. Place is little dirty. It should be maintained.
Holy water. Water is made to be calm here by lord Rama during his worship. The first place to take dip before having darshan of lord Rameswaram. But more cleanliness is to be taken care by administration as large number of devotees take bath here.
Very holy place. Water is very clean and neat. Changing rooms and cloak rooms available nearby. You have to start holy bath from here and continue with the 22 Wells inside temple.
A place of worship with enthralling beauty and vibes. The waters of the ocean bring you nothing but solitude.
Agni Theertham is simply ‘holy water’ which is part of Bay of Bengal, where it’s believed that Lord Rama had taken a dip to cleanse his body after killing King Ravana of Lanka who had abducted Rama’s concert, Sita. This place is considered holy by pilgrims and therefore they take bath in this water. The venue is very close to and behind Sri Rameshwaram temple. It’s recommended that only after taking holy dip (snana) in Agni Theertham and later at other 22 wells or Theerthams inside the temple, one has to visit the main temple for getting positive impact on our lives.
