Gandamadana Parvatham, Rameshwaram Reviews
Highest point in Rameshwaram and also known as Gandamadhana parvath. Situated around two kilometres from the main temple. Lord Ram's footprint is there and lots of positive vibes. Climb to the top and you will have a nice view.
It is also called as Rama padam. It is this place itseems where Rama took the decision.
View from the top was good. Temple not properly maintained.
The history goes like lord rama viewed srilanka from here. Historic place to visit.
Hindu temple known an Ramar Patham means "Foot Print of Lord Ram". Pilgrimage can worship the impression of Lord Ram Foot Print. This temple is also called "Ram Jharokha" may be a hindi name Jaarokha is used for windows. As this place is on hill top and entire Rameshwaram is visible. I have uploaded few pics through which you can see the sea, the temples from this Jharokha. As this place is highest altitude in rameshwaram, it is believed that from here only Lord Ram identified that Mata Sita is in captive with demon king Rawana located in Sri Lanka.
