This is a significant point in the city as you can see the entire island of Rameshwaram from here. The foot print of Lord Ram is on a chakra over here. Hence even on the holistic front this place holds a lot of importance. On a visit to Rameshwaram, you should definitely not miss this holy place. This temple is just a couple of kilometers away from the Rameshwaram temple and is situated on a hillock. From the top you can enjoy mesmerizing views of the lush green forests, beaches and more.

  • The history goes like lord rama viewed srilanka from here. Historic place to visit.

  • Hindu temple known an Ramar Patham means "Foot Print of Lord Ram". Pilgrimage can worship the impression of Lord Ram Foot Print. This temple is also called "Ram Jharokha" may be a hindi name Jaarokha is used for windows. As this place is on hill top and entire Rameshwaram is visible. I have uploaded few pics through which you can see the sea, the temples from this Jharokha. As this place is highest altitude in rameshwaram, it is believed that from here only Lord Ram identified that Mata Sita is in captive with demon king Rawana located in Sri Lanka.

  • Well this is the place from where it is believed that Lord Rama saw Sri Lanka...yes Sri Lanka is roughly 20 kms from this place... This is a must visit place in Rameswaram for seeing some birds eye views it offers...the temple hosts Lord Rama's feet impressions and from the terrace one can see a 360° panoramic view of the Rameswaram Island... However to get to the top there are around 50-60 steps which you need to climb... It is advisable not to visit this place during summer months as it gets too hot in this area...and u need to climb the temple barefoot...however once on top it's breezy with some mesmerizing views...
