Ramkot is a village in Kathmandu District in the Bagmati Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 5327 and had 972 households in it. Ramkot is almost isolated area of Kathmandu when it comes to publicity. Ramkot was named to signify that Lord Ram was here during his exile.According to legends,Lord Ram left his coat here.
