About Victoria Gardens, Rancho Cucamonga

Victoria Gardens is a pedestrian-oriented, open-air, mixed-use town center in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Located North of Foothill Boulevard between Day Creek Boulevard and Etiwanda Avenue by the Interstate 15 freeway, the 147-acre (0.59 km2)project consists of residential areas, office space, retail stores, public plazas, a movie theater, and a civic cultural arts center. It officially opened October 28, 2004. The Victoria Gardens Cultural Center, which features the Rancho Cucamonga Public Library, a performing arts center, and a multi-use reception hall, is owned and operated by the city of Rancho Cucamonga and sits north of the shopping center between the two parking structures. In 2006, the former Robinsons-May store was converted to a Macy's Men's and Home Store to complement the existing Macy's. Unlike other cases where both anchors existed in one mall, Macy's did not move into the former Robinson's-May store and close its original location, because both anchors were new and the original Macy's store was not built as a Broadway store. The rest of the mixed-use development is owned by Forest City Enterprises. The mall increased the city's sales tax income by 44% in its first year of operation.

  • I've been going to this mall since opening weekend. The crowds seem to be increasing each year, despite all the construction going on and I don't see the crowds slimming. There are not many options in the Inland Empire for low-cost hang out spots, so the mall is always filled with a variety of people. There are a lot of design flaws that could be improved on to make the mall more enjoyable for everyone, in my opinion. The mall would be better off if they shut down all the streets and added second-level shopping to many of the stores. Overall, it's a great mall considering the other options around.

  • Great atmosphere. Wish there were more inexpensive food options and more shops rather than lots of expensive eateries, but this place still has a lot to do. Can spend a few hours put here on good weather. Great mall!

  • Excellent place to walk and shop. It's a great place to bring your family and friends to hangout. The structures are beautiful and modern. There are fountains throughout the area. There are plenty of places to eat and benches to rest at. Security drives around regularly.

  • Very nice place to sight-see while you shop. Doesn't have a bunch of kids and teenagers running around like Ontario Mills, so that's super convenient. Nice variety of restaurants, outside of the food hall. Cool little sights to see when you find them.

  • Really fun place to hangout at. Lots to see and do, can go shopping, there is a library, plenty of restraunts, and a little mini water park for kids to play at. The shopping area is well kept and always is looking it's best. Highly recommend if you have nothing to do during a weekend/weekday and you want to spend some time outside the house
