When you are on your way to Rangamati, you will come across the Statue of Martyr Rob along the road. Lance Nayak Munshi Abdur Rauf played an important role during the Liberation war of Bangladesh and is considered to be one of the heroes who sacrificed his life for the country. He was awarded ‘Bir Shreshta’ - the highest state insignia and is remembered for sacrifice and dedication. When you visit this statue, you will find an information board where you will get to learn the story behind the Statue of Martyr Rob.
