Founded in 1971, the Forkland Community Center was closed down after a period of 43 years and then again reopened with the initiative of the local community. To preserve and promote the Rural culture of Knobs Area as well as cater the educational and recreational events, the Forkland Community Center comes up with the two historic Buildings, a log cabin dating back to 1790, a storage building, picnic shelter and concession stand. The Lincoln Museum features the culture and heritage of the county through the books, journals, and artefacts depicting the history of Forkland and its genealogy. Some of the books from this collection as well as a number of local handicrafts, merchandize, and souvenirs are available at the Gift Shop. Forkland Heritage Festival & Revue, Pie Supper, and Twilight Christmas are some of the events that take place here.
