Very well kept. More of a large garden than a park, but very attractive with an unusual handkerchief tree, a rose garden area and mammoth sized lion statue. Feels like a step into Edwardian England.
Small pleasant park in central Reading. The Town Meal event hosted each autumn it's a great event bringing the town together.
Beautiful gardens very well looked after usually a fete or festival there to keep you occupied. Lovely to sit and think. But can get very busy in summer
picture postcard perfect municipal park. statue, check. bandstand, check. kiosk, check. impeccable flower beds check. if you arent a local some of the byways to it through churchyard or abbey are worth exploring
Love coming here on my lunch beak, it's like entering a different world. Quiet, green and peaceful, loads of benches to sit down and enjoy the scenery.
