Wellington Country Park, Reading Reviews

  • Great day out with the kids. With multiple play areas (one very recently refurbished), train rides, children's farm, dinosaur park, country walks, Walter park, go-carts, golf, sandpit, bouncy pillow, small indoor soft play for the younger ones and much much more - a great place to take the kids to run around and burn off some energy! Facilities are usually well looked after and in plenty of supply. Park has its own cafe which is always popular. In addition there are several kiosks dotted about which sell sandwiches and icecreams. Look out for special events during holiday periods. These can be a great way to cram even more into a great day out. Note: some attractions such as the train and go-carts are pay per ride.

  • Camping and caravan site excellent... small groups nestled in dense woodland. Secure access good facilities albeit crowded when busy. Staff excellent. Great base for getting into london via train from reading yet feels like you are in the middle of the country. Will return when nearby.

  • £9 per adult low season, under 3s free. Food surprisingly good quality and value for money. Lots of activities for toddlers and young children - I should imagine a bit limited for the over 10 yr olds. train rides are quite short and extra cost (£1.50) but our grandchildren loved them. All activities are outside so would not be up to much if raining.

  • Thank you again Wellington Country Park. We enjoy every visit and we enjoyed the new adventure park the most. Both my girls enjoy the park. Every time we visit there is something new to see and do. We bought some annual passes and will do so again shortly.

  • so much to do here, we loved the farm and giant bouncy pillow. lovely food, the adventure playground was perhaps a little crazy for my little one, she loved the mini train though. It doesn't always seem to be in order so best check beforehand. Pricey for a small family, although the season ticket seems good value if you go often enough. Nice place to visit all year round
