Changepoint Church gained a huge popularity after it was founded in the year 1981. In 1966, it settled in Poughkeepsie and adopted its geographical name of The River Church. In 2008 the main portion of the church got destroyed due to fire and it was reconstructed in the year 2011. It has a mission and it is continuing still now and the mission is all about knowledge.
