The old Stone Bridge is a 310 meter long structure which has been present on Danube River for 900 years. This 12th century bridge unfolds beautiful views of the city of Regensburg and Danube River. The bridge is a supreme example of medieval engineering. Today, it is open for pedestrians only as the travellers relax and stroll over it to admire its historicity and grandeur. Due to its location, the bridge remained the river’s only crossing for more than 800 years, thereby working as an important channel between the great centres of Ulm and Vienna, and between northern France and rest of Europe. Do visit its museum which holds exhibitions on the history of the Stone Bridge.
- The Tickets for Museum are € 2.00 (regular)/€ 1.50 (reduced).
- Bus 1, 6 or 11.

Danube look really nice. Also coffee shops are quite cozy with a nice view.
Nice place to spend evening by the river and by watching people around. Not a place to sit. Good music from performers sometimes.
Great viewing along the river and I learnt it was a highly historic stone bridge....
It’s a nice town with good sausages.
Awesome bridge with a colourful history! Very scenic
