Club Cal Neva Reviews & Ratings
I enjoy single deck blackjack a couple of times a year. As with all casinos, once you're in a winning streak, they change dealers. I know this but stayed anyways and lost $140. They have a good enough restaurant here with great deals and a nice restaurant as well. Friendly staff. An old calling 5 that hasn't been updated like the rest. My favorite dive
Gotta give the Cal-Neva 5 stars for endurance if nothing else. While attending the University of Nevada about a half century ago, my friends and I would hit their restaurant where you could get ham, sausage, or bacon with eggs, toast, and hash browns for only 99 cents. Growing boys could order 2 or 3 of those and literally pig out for less than 3 bucks!. This is also where my buddies took me for my 21st birthday. One of them suggested I try a Remus fizz, which tastes like a milkshake but doesn't act like one, so I ain't gonna go no further with this review.
It's a great little spot as long as you understand that it is not fine dining, just good food at an affordable price. The staff tries hard to please you - Joey and Diane are both terrific - and the place always exceeds my expectations. For very little money, you can have a good steak, nice pasta, great escargot and a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Local favorite. I'd rather spend my money here than with the big boys down the street. Kind of dumpy, but welcoming and inviting feeling as well, if that makes any sense? Food isn't the best but it's cheap along with the drinks. Karaoke on the weekends I believe, possibly on weekdays too.
The Top Deck restaurant was awesome! Try the soup! They're all made fresh daily and super yummy. In my 3 day trip I ate here 3 times!
