Galena Creek Visitor Center Reviews & Ratings
The center provides interesting displays and quite a few excellent displays. The staff are courteous with a high degree of knowledge. It is very clean and well maintained. They offer film's and talks as well as a shop containing many books and other items for purchase. They provide a lot of information about the surrounding environment and culture . There is an abundance of free brochures detailing hiking trails and other points of interest as well as scientific data. Several walking trails start from the visitor center and the surrounding nature areas are beautiful including the small bee habitat.
Beautiful mountain park. Good for picnics, hiking, and viewing nature. Interesting visitors center (not open every day). Easy access from Mount Rose Scenic Highway.

This place is a hidden gem! Not only is it the starting point to a few gorgeous trails, the welcome center is a most pleasant surprise. Stop in when they're open to see an excellent collection of birds.
