Knitting Factory Concert House Reviews & Ratings
Odd venue. Wish we had something better here in Reno. It really is like watch a show in a hall way. Narrow and long. Sound isn't great. Odd setup.
Forget your Yah.Forget white boy reggae.Creativity not a Grammy! Serving the music up the right way.No bozos no lackeys no pro tools! Thank goodness for a venue like so.Where adventure is the journey! Look out Reno! Im a coming
The best thing I can say about this place is that it's non-smoking. Saw AFI last night, fantastic band! Great performance! But this place sucks. The staff are rude and treat the fans like it's us vs them, which is ridiculous and so overly dramatic. Dumb, bitchy cocktail waitresses stood around and blocked the stairwell, watching the show instead of actually working. But found the energy to harass us for not moving fast enough. We were supposed to have 4 vip passes but they didn't print enough, so we got one. Come on people! This is not the way to do business. Entire balcony is blocked off for some type of higher priced ticket and what a waste! For half the show only about 25 people were in there. Overall - ditch the bimbos serving drinks, treat the customers better since it's their money that pays for this stuff anyway, and open up at least some of the balcony....then it'd maybe be up to the hype.
Terrible venue, I've never been to a good show here. The amount of time it takes to get from will call to inside the building is unbelievable. I missed my favorite band because their staff is short and apathetic. The website is always down and I can't even buy tickets to shows online. I hate it when I hear one of my favorite bands is going to play the knit because I would almost rather skip seeing them just so i don't have to go to this abysmal place
I have seen a few shows here, but not any in the past three years. The sound is horrible! It is a long narrow hallway and you can't see the bands at all unless you are right against the stage which makes the sound even worse. Everything is loud, muffled and distorted and it doesn't matter what type of music since I've seen Willie Nelson and Motorhead here with the same result. Bring ear plugs! Also, this venue is a 'pay to play' one for local bands which means they have to sell tickets so the venue can pay the headlining acts, but they don't get paid. I've heard lots of horror stories from Reno bands about this club and getting ripped off. I don't support it for that reason alone! It's nothing like the New York Knitting Factory which actually has decent sound and reputation.
