This is considered as the center point of everything since the first establishments happened in Reno. Along the picturesque corridor of Truckee River, is a district that will give you a beautiful break from the casinos in the Biggest Little City in the World. Thus district, set up by the merchants of Reno, has a lovely array of galleries and restaurants. There are various events that take place here, the most popular one being the Wine Walk, where you can go wine tasting at almost a dozen galleries and specialty stores. There is also Dine the District tour, which is a food tour for all the gourmands there. This pleasant area, with the stunning backdrop of Truckee River, will definitely leave you on a happy high.

Of all the places I went in Reno this was my favorite!! Took a stroll with my daughter, went to some shops, had a nice lunch sitting outdoors next to the river. There's a cute park on one end. Beautiful sculptures, fountains & trees line the river. Nice weather, colorful fall foliage, & the sound of the river. A perfect day!
The main sign says it all - the biggest little city in the world! Downtown is easy to get around on foot and signs directing you to the near by attractions are abundant. The highlight is the Riverwalk that can be seen in an hour or too. The main attraction in the Reno area is Lake Tahoe of course.
One of my favorite spots for sure! Nothing like a summer night in Reno on the Riverwalk! So many events, grows more and more every trip I take back home!
Get away from the depressing casino Street in Reno and join awesomeness at the Riverwalk. Nice paved walk on both sides of the river. Restaurants that even a movie theater. A few characters here and there, but most seem harmless.
This is a good thing to do with out of town company. Get some exercise and enjoy the nice surroundings.
