  • I booked this hotel due to the low price. I was charged more than I was quoted. The room is okay, the bed comfortable. The faucet on the shower/tub isn't lined up right and the hot water is hit or completely miss. The ice machine on out floor doesn't work. The Buffet was unimpressive. Most of the food looked like it had been there for at least 24 hours. We settled for Tacos Tijuana and enjoyed a good meal. It isn't worth the low rate I was looking for.

  • We’re in Reno atleast once a month during spring, summer & fall and we ALWAYS stay at the sands!!!! We love it there!!!! By far the friendliest staff ever!!!! The manager Steve goes above & beyond to make sure everyone is happy & everything runs like it should!!!! He’s amazing!!!! Debbie is awesome as well!!!! Can’t wait til winter is here n gone so we can start our monthly trips again!!!!

  • Won't return. This is an older hotel and in need of a remodel. When I arrived, the staff was talking about new employees, and didn't stop while checking me in. Like most casinos, it reeks of cigarette smoke. Thankfully the room did not. Good: The staff was friendly. The room was clean. The room was spacious Bad: No free breakfast. A/C is controlled by a thermostat, like at home. But my room was hot and the temp couldn't be lowered below 67. I verified this with the front desk.

  • Well the beginning of our mini vacation didn't start off so great, but that's ok...... Debbie and her amazing team made our stay wonderful!!!! The staff they have working at The Sands treat you like family, from Vincent at the check in desk to Shelby the cocktail waitress even the housekeeping. Everyone always have smiles on there faces!!! We absolutely love staying at The Sand's.

  • When going to Reno Nevada for either gambling or for Hot August Nights. I always stay at the Sands. No it's not in the main strip but that's why I stay there, it's never hard or expensive to get a room. The parking is easier to get in and out of, the rooms are nicely kept up to date and clean, the casino has all my favorite games and I win more then I lose. The hotel staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area and what's going on and all the perticualer times, dates and so on so you never miss the events you want to see. Just the perfect way to have all the fun of visiting Reno Nevada.
