Geysir, Reykjavik Reviews
Very cool to see so many eruptions! It seems like one of them erupts every few minutes. Definitely a cool sight. Also, the Geysir restaurant across the street has great food for a quick bite!
Crowded in August of course, but worth it the water changed color with the variable daylight. We didn't see any super shots out of any of the geysers, but we enjoyed walking the grounds and the food and coffee offerings were great. Don't skip this stop on the Golden Circle.
Great little stop and worth the photo opportunities! The whole island is like a National Park with 27/7 day light in summer. Parking, bathrooms and a meal at stores just across the way. Amenities are not open 24/7. We went in July and made the stop later in the day with the facility was only open another hour.
I loved the Geysir but it was too crowded also in low season. There are better places in Island but I won’t share them here.
Even at 10 o clock it is open in the summer and can walk around. During the day many tourist and there is a huge tourist center around.
