  • This is an enchanting place surrounded by lava plains and beautiful hot springs. The rooms were perfect, the staff attentive without interfering and the environment is tranquil with lots of places to stop and ponder. As with all the nitric designs, the surroundings are well designed but simple and the immense hot-spring pool is amazing. Well worth the effort... and the cost. One of the highlights of our Icelandic trip

  • Great place to stay before flying out. I liked the private lagoon and facial masks in the lobby. Rooms were comfortable and beautiful.

  • The hotel itself is nice. However, I found the staff very incompetent or lack of hospitality experience or mind-set. When I first check in, the room had a bad cleaning smell so I requested for a room change. They only had 2 rooms left so they transferred me to another room. The price was lower than what I booked but they refused to either compensate it or refund the difference. Firstly, a staff lied to me that the price is the same. When I said the information on their website says different thing, another staff intervened and said I was right. Secondly, the reason for not refunding the difference was rather ridiculous. They said since the booking was made in advance, they cannot do anything about it. I have travelled more than 80 countries and spend 3-4 months every year at hotels all across the world. This was the most ridiculous answer that I have ever heard, considering the level and price of the room. I would have accepted it if they they proposed compensating with meal credit, etc. Anyway, nothing was done and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you want complete relaxation for your holiday. Around the area, northern lights inn and retreat hotel have better hospitality and services.

  • Definitely one of the highlights of my trip. Great views, fine staff, amazing breakfast buffet. You have private access to the Blue Lagoon which was incredible.

  • The best hotel to just simply relax. Highly recommended!
