Not far from the Village of Monolithos you will find this interesting castle. Although the whole structure does not exist anymore seeing its vestiges and imagining what it must have looked like in its glory days is certainly an experience worth having.
Lost in the Greek isles the castle has a wild and rugged sort of a feel to it. Not only this, the area in and around the castle has some stunning views up on offer. Overlooking the sea, this old ruin has a stunning location and a very old worldly charm to it. A hike up to it is certainly a refreshing experience but perhaps an also a wonderful photo opportunity. A very interesting place to visit in the area!
- A decent Public Transport system exists on the island but the stations are not easily available online. You can buy a transport map on arrival.

Lovely place. Great atmosphere. Wonderful landscapes. The entire island of Rhodes recommendable. Many beautiful places to visit. You can borrow a car for a few euros and go around the island. Unforgettable views. I would highly recommend
Wonderful view and really nice ruins. Only missing some historical things though. Don't know why the castle is there 🙄 but the restaurant under the castle was nice. Prices were good and food also.
A beautiful place to watch the sun set. You can take a picnic basket with some goodies and a bottle of wine and watch the sun go down either on the beach or up on the top. The castle is a ruin but there is a small church there and there are plenty of places to sit down and enjoy the view. Definitely a place to visit. There is a little cafe at the bottom of the castle too. Parking is free.
Magical. We visited at the end of season and had the place to ourselves for a couple of hours. Peaceful and serene with a beautiful view of the Agean sea.
A must see when you're near by. There are multiple view points before you arrive to this place, where you can see that It's like castle built on top of a mountain. Awesome view. Nice piece of history.
